Leadership

One of the attractions of trading for a living is freedom. That includes freedom from employees and employers.

You could be happily living off the cash flow from your own trades.

However, if you have ambitions for something bigger, then you’ll need some people skills. Even if you’re a super know-it-all, you’ll need other people to help you achieve something bigger than living off your own trading.

Information in Kelly Perdew’s book Take Command is a good place to start learning some people skills that you might need to get other people to help you succeed beyond trading for a living. For example, the next level in your success might be to get some employees or independent contractors to help in aspects of your trading business at which you’re not yet an expert.

Kelly Perdew was the second apprentice chosen by Donald Trump in the popular Reality TV Show “The Apprentice” (aka “You’re Fired!). He graduated from West Point, earned his Ranger Tabs, and graduated from the UCLA Joint Law-Business JD-MBA program. Additionally, he was involved in several businesses before appearing in the TV show, The Apprentice.

Kelly says that he learned 10 essential principles of leadership that helped him succeed in his career up to and including winning on The Apprentice. The following are the 10 principles.
